- אִיקֹונְיָא
- אִיקֹונְיָאII or אִיקוּנְיָא f. (pl. as a collect. noun) (denom. of אִיקֹון) a procession in which portable images are carried. Midr. Till. to Ps. 17 א׳ של מלאכיםוכ׳ a procession of angels passes before man and they cry, Make room לאיקוניה שלוכ׳ (read לְאִקֹונָיו or לְאִיקֹונֹות; Yalk. Ps. 670; Deut. R. s. 4 לאִיקֹונִין) for the images of the Lord (man being created in the image of God). Deut. R. l. c. או׳ מהלכת (corr. acc.).
